There’s a process and specific mindset that goes into every piece of art. Allow me to explain mine.

Expressions On Life

This project from fall of 2024 was meant to convey a deep message about life to the audience. While crafting this project in Adobe Premiere, I gathered my media from archives.org and really put a lot of thought and research behind my clips and audios. The song is “Femme Fatale” a piece written for the soundtrack for the movie “Us” by Jordan Peele. When given this project and knowing what my message was going to be it immediately made me think of “Femme Fatale”. The beautiful piece fit right in for the inspirational and nostalgic feeling I was going for. Adding in the Charlie Chaplin monologue about experiences through life was the cherry on top.

Rain Speaks

Another project from fall of 2024. This one is very special to me as all of the clips in this video are my very own shot for this specific project. I had a very specific vision in mind when crafting this project in Adobe Premiere. I wanted many audios at once, many transitions between my clips and symbolic imagery. I had audio of a woman humming the theme of labyrinth, a bell frequency meant for “calming”, and rain sounds throughout the whole video. The rain sounds were audio taken from my clips and repeated over again.

Nightmare Trailer Short

This project was from winter of 2024. This is truly where my love for Adobe Premiere started. I was given a lot of raw footage of what was intended for a short film. The prompt was a girl who has a nightmare of being chased by a masked killer. I needed to keep the time between 60-90 seconds so I cut it down to appear like a movie trailer and landed right in the middle at 70 seconds. With the dramatic clips I was provided with I used the music to my advantage. With big jump cuts and many cuts to a black screen to make a “suspenseful” effect. I remember having a lot of fun with crafting the edits and transitions of this project. Horror is one of my favorite genres, so I definitely had a blast making something on the more suspenseful side.

J-Pop Commercial

This is a project from early spring of 2024. This was an editing project that was new to me and it was quite interesting to explore this world of visual storytelling. Once again was provided with a lot of raw footage with the intent of a commercial to be made. This project gave me a lot of options for how I wanted to tell the story. In this project not only was there cuts, and basic edits happening to the main footage but I had also played around with color grading, slowing down some of the footage and working with a logo this time. I had the logo as a png and was able to put it across that beautiful photo of the beach you see at the end. Cute ending to a sweet story about popsicles and love!
